How many grandchildren do you have?

As many of you know, I got married last month. It's often been said that you don't marry the person, you marry the family. My new granddaughter asked me about a year ago, "When will I be your granddaughter?" I remember fumbling for an answer before saying, "When your grandmother and I get married."

Soon after we were officially married, my newest granddaughter approached me, gave me a hug and squeeze and said, "Congratulations Grandpa!" So, how many grandchildren do I now have? The answer is seven and I'm proud of it and I'm also proud of Grandma!
